SPEAKER_03Hello. Hello. How's everybody? Amen. We are so excited about your life. We're excited about God's life in you. So we're going to start with prayer and then we're going to get right into today's lesson. Father, we thank you. We bless you. We honor you. We praise you. To God be the glory right now in the lives of our brothers and sisters and those that are going to say yes to your will today. We are thanking you for this opportunity to preach the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are thanking you for your divine intervention in each one of our lives with signs and wonders following your word. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Now we're going to turn it over to Minister Liz Elizabeth Norman to share what God has given her.
SPEAKER_01Thank you, Rev. Thank you, Rev. Hello, everyone. It's always glad to um as always. We're glad to be back. We're glad to commune with you on this day. This is the day that the Lord has made, and we're going to be glad and rejoice in it. What does rejoice mean? Get joy over and over and over again. Look, today's lesson is entitled, Is It Well with Your Soul? Is it well with your soul? I know you remember the song, It Is Well, It Is Well. No, but God wants, God, God dropped this on me now. He's He wants to know, is it well with your soul? Now, if He's asking the question, there's a reason why he's asking the question. Something must be wrong somewhere. So let's start by defining what the soul is. Now, back in the day, I heard and I was taught that the soul was the mind, the will, and the emotions. But I wasn't satisfied with just someone telling me that. So I said, Lord, prove to me. If the soul is the mind, the will and the emotions, prove it to me by scripture. So God answered me. He said, Remember when I made Adam? Imagine Adam standing on a uh uh on the sand or the dirt, and imagine that I just formed him. So he's standing there and he's lifeless, nothing going on, nothing. He said he didn't have a mind, he didn't have a will, and he didn't have any emotions. It wasn't until I, God, blew the breath of life into him that he became a living soul. I was so excited when God told me that. I was elated, I was excited. I was like, God, thank you. Thank you. Now I could explain it. I I'm not just saying anything because someone told me I can explain why the soul, the definition of soul is the mind, the will, and emotions. So let's start with mind. Now, I'm gonna tell you, we could talk all day about the mind. All day, all day, and next month and the month after that about the mind. Because the mind is so many things going on with the mind right now. Matter of fact, what have you been thinking about? Now, what has been on your mind so that God put this in my spirit for you all? What's been what's been on your mind? What you been thinking about? You've been thinking about the past, you've been thinking about what what went wrong, what didn't work out? What are you thinking about? Thinking about hitting a lotto, hitting a lottery? What are you thinking about? Somebody else's husband, somebody else's wife. What's on your mind to the point that that God has to address this issue? You have to monitor what you're thinking about. You can't just think everything. It your mind is not a playground, or you shouldn't allow it to be a playground. Just think anything, any thought, whatever. No, no, no, no, no. You have to bring every thought into captivity. God is concerned about the mind. There's a scripture that says, let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. That means you should be thinking the way Jesus would think, thinking clean thoughts, thinking clear thoughts, thinking the way that you should. Let me ask you, if your thoughts could be put on a movie screen in front of people and they could see everything that was on your mind, would you have to tip out in the back door or tip out on the side door? Huh? We have to examine our thoughts. We have to examine what we're thinking. Your mind is so fragile, it's so absorbent. It can absorb so much information, so much stuff, but you have to be careful because your mind wasn't designed to absorb all that stuff. Wasn't designed to do all that. You know, um, I reminded of uh someone I read somewhere a couple of years ago that mental illness is worse now than ever in the history of mankind. Ever in the history of mankind, mental illness is worse now. Now, ladies and gentlemen, something is wrong somewhere, but it starts somewhere. Mental illness just doesn't come out the tree, or it starts somewhere. And one thing about the devil, if he can get your mind, he got you. If he has your mind, he has you. So it starts with little stuff. You could be thinking, I know they're talking about me. They don't even know you. What do you mean they're talking about you? Well, you know, uh it starts with little things like that. Little suggestions that the devil will put in your ear. You cannot entertain those thoughts. You cannot entertain a thought, you can't let a thought come through your mind and just let it chill and sit down and put feet up. Would you let somebody come to your house? Just come on in, sit down, put their feet up and everything, go in the refrigerator, just chill and just stay there and link. No, no, that's an intruder. And so you have to treat your thoughts like that. And you have to uh I reminded of Craft O'Dolly, who said that you can't fight a thought with the thought. If you're gonna fight a thought that's upcoming your mind, you have to use uh scripture to do that. You have to use the blood of Jesus. You um one of the things that I do is I'll use um a song. I'll say, um, whenever the Lord says peace, because I want peace in my mind. I don't want that thought to keep coming in my mind. And guess what? The thoughts is stubborn, it will come back, it will it'll come back, but you have to keep on and keep on fighting until the thought, okay, is gone on about its business. You have to fight for your mind. You really do. You can't you can't listen to every song, you can't watch every movie, you can't read every book. Uh let me tell you something that just happened to me Sunday. I used to get these books from, you know, the books send you the libraries on tape. I mean, the library sends you books on tape. And so there was uh one, I like mystery novels, who done it? But unfortunately, 99% of the mystery novels are murdered. But it was this one author that was very slow to get into, but I got into, I was like, oh man, I'm gonna read the next one. And I'm gonna read the next one until I'm like, okay, this is not good for my spirit. So I thought I had got written rid of or sent those books back a couple years ago. But I just found one in the house uh a couple of days ago. So I said, you know what, I'm gonna put them in the library. So Sunday, I'm gonna put it in the mailbox so that it can go to the library. Sunday I uh was getting ready for church and um outside for my ride, and three rides canceled. Three of them. I'm like, Lord, what's going on? Up late, you know, um, what is going on? And the Lord reminded me that I had not put that tape in the mailbox. And the mailbox is right out front my door. I walk out my door, it's right there. So, and I was like, oh man, and I was like, it must be something very, very particular that God didn't even want me to bring the book in his house. He didn't even want me to bring the book in the church. And I forgot about it that just that quick, but he didn't want it in there. So if he don't want it in his house, and it's not even playing, the book's not even gonna be playing, it's in his case or whatever. No, he doesn't he certainly don't want me listening to that stuff. And so he doesn't want you listening to every book, so horror stuff and all that foolishness that um can be found in books or movies or music or wherever you get um information from or even people. Some people are toxic, even some people are even toxic, some family members are toxic to your mind, to your mind. You don't need anybody in your life bringing up things in other past, mistakes you made, because that's gonna play on your mind, it's gonna make you feel guilty, it's gonna make you feel sad and all that. No, protect your mind. You have to protect your mind, ladies and gentlemen, at all costs. At all costs, you have to protect your mind, whatever it takes. Because if without your mind, there's no you. If you don't have your mind, then there's no you. Remember, the enemy's coming after your mind. He wants uh, he wants to have your mind drugs, take away your mind, alcohol, take away, takes away your mind. I don't understand that part. But um, or why even people uh get into that knowing that you your mind is gonna be totally gone if you drink that stuff, if you if and if you take those drugs. So you have to be whatever it's gonna take, whatever it's gonna take, ask the Holy Spirit, what should I give up? What what should I give up? Now there's a scripture, Philippians 4. Can you read that?
SPEAKER_00Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true.
SPEAKER_01Wait a minute, what whatever things are true, talking about truth here. Oh, go ahead. Whatsoever things are honest, whatever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatever things are just, whatever things are right, uh-huh. Whatsoever things are pure. Uh-oh. Whatever things are pure. Whatsoever things are lovely, whatever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report. What whatever things, whatsoever things are of good report, it cancels out the news. Go ahead.
SPEAKER_00If there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
SPEAKER_01If there be any virtue or any praise, think on these things. Those are the things that our minds should be on. The good, the true, the lovely, the just, the pure. Those are the things that we should be thinking about. Not that other stuff. That other stuff. You shouldn't even be thinking about the you can whatever. If you keep thinking about the past, why? There's nothing you can do about the past. Nothing. I don't care what you do, there is nothing you can do about anything that went on in the past. Why are you still there? Why is your mind still back there? Why? All you can talk about is the past. All you talk about is the past. Why? Why? No, no. Get your mind on the future. Get your mind on the right now. Get your mind out of the gutter. If your mind is in the gutter. Some people, all they talk about or think, all they think about is sex. And all they talk about is sex. Why? Because your mind isn't pure. Your minds aren't pure. They're not pure at all. And God doesn't want us to have a dirty mind. He does not want us to have a filthy mind. God, I hate you. Because a dirty mind and a filthy mind will lead to a dirty mouth, filthy mouth and dirty ways and filthy ways. No, not a Christian. You call yourself a Christian and you run there talking dirty jokes and laughing at dirty jokes and saying things. No, no, no, no. So gird up your mind. Strengthen your mind. Ask God to help you with uh with your mind. Now I don't care if mental illness is your family and they say it's genetic, it's not genetic. I don't believe it's genetic. I don't believe because your mind is not their mind. Your mind is different. I don't care what doctors and researchers say. No, you have your own mind. So if it's if if mental illness is running through your family, then I believe that it's a demonic spirit that's running through your family trying to attack people's minds. But you being a Christian with the Holy Spirit inside of you, you can fight that spiritually. You can fight that spiritually. You don't have to accept that. Um if uh Alzheimer's, dementia, and all you do your best to fight it. Do your best to fight it with the word, fight it with God's word, fight it with the blood of Jesus, and there's certain health things you can do to fight that off, too. But do your level best, do what's in your power. Do what's in your power to protect your mind. You only get one mind. You are only issued one mind. You can't trade it in, you can't get a do-over, you can't do any of that. You only have one mind. So protect it.
SPEAKER_00Now we're about to take a break for station identification. This is the Wash Ear Radio Hour, the local voice of the blind, low vision, and print disabled. We are heard here every day at 5 o'clock p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
SPEAKER_01So guard your mind, protect your mind, pay attention to your mind, value your mind, watch your thoughts, clean your thoughts. Now I'm gonna turn it over to Reverend Martin, who's going to talk about the will.
SPEAKER_03The will. Wow, we're gonna make this very simple for you. This is so important to understand how God, listen to these words that I'm about to use, engineers our wills. Our wills are engineered by God for perfection, for actualization. God has engineered our wills to work a certain way, a way that pleases Him. So that's where our aim is with our will. If you're married, if you're single, there is a way that our will will cause God to say amen. Ever heard that before? Ever heard God say amen when your will is pleasing him? Yes, he does say amen. So I want to share with you two facets of your will, my will, our will, that's prevalent in our everyday life. Listen to this. One of the facets of our will is participation. I want you to think about what I'm saying. Participation, whether good or bad, all of our wills. You could be the president, you could be a king or a queen, you could be um just a regular person. Doesn't matter what your status is, our wills all work or are engineered for participation, whether good or bad, it will lead to this next word: results. Our wills are engineered to participate for a result. Think about what I just said, and I want you to apply participation and results to your life as it relates to your will. Now, I'm gonna break it down for you. I want you to think about two people right now, and then I'm gonna talk about another two people. First two people I want to share with you about is uh Reverend Ray Razor and his beautiful wife Renee. They have a will. Now, when you're married and your will is working right, it's not his will and her will, it's their will. Because you only have one will. The Bible says that's a mystery, how two become one. It's one flesh now, it's one will that's in operation. Think about what I'm saying. For those of you that are married, God has designed your will to become one, to participate together for a listen, a specific result. So I've been watching them since we've been here at Washington Ear, and I watch how they participate. Their will is participating for a result. That result is for the edification of this broadcast to multiples of people everywhere it's being heard. They are and have been designed to participate for the result of what you get out of this broadcast, even right now. It's a beautiful thing when the engineering is working right. Now, remember, I said participation can be good or it can be bad. Now, I'm talking about them from the good perspective because they are working together. It's God at work in them, both to will, listen, and to do for his good pleasure. Didn't I say that when it's done right, that it will please God? He said, I'm at work in them, both to will and to do for my good pleasure. So the result of their will participating together to do this great work for God is bringing a result through and by Washington ear for this public that is listening to this broadcast. Isn't that a beautiful thing? How the two have become one? Now, what if I'm not talking about them, they weren't working together. What if it was one saying one thing and another saying another? Now, that may be happening in this public, that may be happening in your marriage or in your single life. You double-minded. That's what the Bible calls it. Double-minded. And when your participation in certain things is not working the way that God has engineered it, the result is going to show it. Can I get an amen right there? So, but when it is done right, the result will be right. So the participation that's going on here is an example. Let me say it to you this way: your marriage is an example. Participation in your marriage is an example of either God's will, God's way, or your will, your way. Wow. Now we know that there's an enemy to participation. And because the enemy wants to promote a certain result, I want to divide and conquer instead of bring together and win. Let me say that again. I may have said it a little bit too fast. When the enemy is in your participation between each other, that's where we get disagreements. That's where we get um confrontations. That's where we get um you don't understand me. You ever heard that before? Um you're not getting what I'm trying to share with you. But listen, what God wants is participation because of harmony. That's what our goal is here today, as it relates to our will before God. We want harmony. In other words, God will see a reflection of his will in your life, in my life, in our lives. He will see himself. And that's when that's where the blessing is at, right there, right there. So what am I saying? Let's participate based on what pleases God and watch this, we will get God's results because we have been engineered to please God when we do it right. Amen. So here's another way of looking at it. I um, my will was to go back to school and college. I went to Calvary Bible Institute, and um, like I said, it was my will. So I graduated uh last month, month or so ago, I got a certificate for Bible studies. But my will needed a result. I had to get a result from my will, because that's what the will does, it gets results. I needed participation from other people to help me fulfill the will that God had given me for my life, which was to graduate. Okay, so what God did was sent Minister Elizabeth to help me fulfill and participate in the fulfillment of the result that I wanted. I got the result because of the participation of another person that was a good participation, it wasn't a bad participation. I'm speaking to somebody, the answer to what's going on in your relationship. If you take away the bad and you focus on the good, you will get a good result. Can I get an amen right there? So it's a conscious decision not to allow anything to interrupt the good participation that is within you for the result that you want to see in your relationship, whether you're married, whether you're single, or whatever's going on in your life, you have the ability to keep it good. Listen, at all times, you can make that decision like she made a decision to help me with my post to help me with um my everything that I needed help with in class. Why? Because she was in agreement with my result from that class. Is anybody getting anything out of what I'm saying? I'm telling you to break it down about participation for a result. The will will always manifest a result. Listen, it's based on your participation that's going to prove the result. You gotta get this because this is very important in your everyday decision. Thank God for Renee. It's obvious the participation and the decision that she's making. Listen, on an everyday basis, let me break it down a little bit more. What you do in the seconds will show up in the minutes. Think about what I'm saying now. Let me say it another way. If you manage the seconds right, you will protect the minutes right. Are you getting what I'm saying? It's an important, I'm talking about your will. If you manage your will by the second, you will think twice before you make a bad decision. You will, because now you're understanding how you have been engineered by God by the second. If you make or mismanage the second, you will unprotect the minutes. Isn't that interesting? So if you mismanage the seconds, the day, I have not in years said out of my mouth, I had a bad day. I don't have bad days, and let me tell you, you're not ever engineered and have never been engineered by God to ever say out of your mouth again, I've had I'm having a bad day. Never allow your spirit to be in agreement with anything bad that God had made for us. This is the day that the Lord has made, and we shall rejoice and be what? Glad in it. He didn't say mad in it, he didn't say bad in it, he said glad in it. He didn't say sad in it, he didn't say sad in it. No, he didn't. So, but listen, you have to slow it down, slow it down, slow down that second, and get everything that's in it for you and in your relationship for your partner. I'm talking to you right now. You and your partner been at odds in this, and it's because of your participation has not come into agreement in a good way. So listen, it's within you, Christ. Listen, in you, the hope of glory. Why for the result? What is the result from your will? So that God will get pleased in what God has given you to do in this life. Are you getting what I'm saying? Now, to close this, I want to say to you, participate in a good way, and you will see the best results of your life, and God will get the glory. Now we're about to take a break. Amen. For station identifications.

SPEAKER_03Amen. So as I was saying, manage your seconds with each other. Or if you're single, manage your seconds between you and the Lord, and then you will protect your ministry. This is about participation for the results that will please God. Now we're going to take it up another level. Of course, we still have more edification to share about everything that we're saying tonight, but let's get what God has given us so far. And now Minister Liz is going to be talking about wow, emotions.
SPEAKER_01Is it well with your will that God is concerned about what we're doing and not doing? Is it well with your emotions? Are you up one day and down the next? Are you happy one minute and sad the next minute? Are your emotions all over the place? Are you so out of sorts with your emotions? That people they just don't know. They don't know when you're gonna blow up. They don't even know how to approach you. They scared to say hello. Are you that type of person that when you come in the room, people have to draw like, oh no, here she comes, here he comes. What in the world are they gonna do or say? Because they bound to do or say something. Your emotions all over the place. Unbalanced, unstable emotions. Why? There's a reason for that. Why are you like that? Why do you blow up like you do? Why are you so boisterous? Why are you so loud? Why are you so angry? Something's wrong. Why are you so angry? Why do you really have to be that angry? Okay, yeah, this happened. Right, okay, you lost your vision. Okay, yeah, we did too. You lost your car, okay. We did too. You lost your house, you lost your job. Okay, okay, that's that's commonplace with people who visit your pair. You may even lost your your honey or your money. It's commonplace, so what do you alive? You're alive? That's the most important thing. You're alive. God kept you alive even through all those losses. Even through all those losses, God still kept you alive. You don't thank him. You don't wake up and say, uh, thank you, God, for another day. You don't bless your food, and the only time you mention God when someone else around them, and uh somebody else will say, God is good, and you'll say, Yeah, all the time. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I think what one good practice would be is to express um your good emotions toward God. What love, express love toward God, express joy um because God gives us love and God gives us joy, and he wants us to show that and he gives us peace. But love on God, that's that's that's really gonna help you, those of you with emotional problems. Love on God, you're trying to love on everybody else. You're trying to love on this one, they didn't want you. You're trying to love on that one, they didn't want you, and you know, you trying to love on this one, this one cheated on you, whatever. You you're throwing your love in all the wrong places. Your love, primarily, first and foremost, is supposed to go to God. My love is supposed to go to God. You know, there was one time um I felt like I had all this love inside of me. And I had nobody to give it to. I ain't talking about sexual love. I'm just talking about love, period. I just felt like I ain't had nobody to love my parents, uh, you know, my grandma, they're, you know, a deceased and everything. And so um, I heard this tape by uh Pastor James Sturdevont. And he said, um, and he did a series on love. And um he was saying that he he he recited, y'all remember this poem, a bell ain't a bell until you ring it, a song ain't a song until you sing it. The love in your heart wasn't put there to stay. Love ain't love until you give it away. And he was saying that the love you feel, that's for God. That's for God, that's not for a man, that's not for a woman, that's for God. You got all this love inside of you, and you're depressed because no, that love is supposed to go to God. Well, how do you display your love to God? Telling him, God, I love you. You're so awesome. I thank you. I bless you. Showing them that you love them. No, not just telling them, showing him that you love them. How do you how do you show Jesus said, Um, if you love me, you'll keep my commandments. So if you love God, if you love Jesus, then you'll do what they say do. That's how you show them that you love them. You can tell them. Anybody can tell you that you love, that they love you, but if they don't show you, then you know, no. You got you need to see some type of sign. So tell God that you love them. Show God that you love them by doing what he says. That's where your love needs to go. Men, you know, y'all have a problem with emotions. Now, women, we we have problems too, but y'all bottle stuff up. And y'all, y'all just, you know, and sometimes your stuff is internalized and it comes out as anger. But and that in your anger could be, could be, because you got all this love inside of you, and you ain't got it's nowhere for it to go. So it just comes out in anger. Think about that. Just comes out in anger. It's just it's just the opposite of what it really is. But we need to ask the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, please help us with our emotions, whatever they are. Some of you are just so sad, sad all the time. Some of you so anxious and depressed all the time. No one wants to be around somebody so sad. Why are you so sad? Why that's a problem. Why are you so sad? I can't do it. I remember um I got a phone call a couple years ago, and somebody called me crying. And I said, What's wrong? Why are you crying? And they said, Um, I'm depressed. I'm like, why are you depressed? They said, I don't know. So I tried to talk them through it. I hope I prayed. I don't remember. It's been so long. I hope I did. So the next day, the uh they were fine and everything, but guess what? I was depressed, and I'm trying to figure out, now how that? Now what am I depressed? And so I called a person back. I said, Who did you talk to before you talked to me? And they told me the person, I said, Look, whenever you talk to them, don't call me. Don't call me. Why did I say that? Because God was showing me that the spirit of depression can jump from one person to the other if you're not careful. So I have to steal away when I know a person is or can tell a person is depressed and always depressed. I'm not talking about if something happens, something you know happens and whatever. No, you come out of that. But I'm talking about somebody that's just kind of sad and depressed all the time. I can't be around that person. I can't, I don't mean no harm. God bless you. I love you with the love of the Lord, but I can't be around that person. No, I refuse to. I can't. I can't, I got too much joy. I I like to be happy, I like to have fun, I like to smile, I like to laugh. I can't be around that. I can't be around that. And so if that's your personality, then you need to ask God, God, why am I like that? Why am I so sad, so depressed, so angry. So, whatever it is, whatever it is, why? Why? And ask him because he'll heal you from it, he'll show you what the problem is, and God will get down to the root, and he will heal you from it because you want to be healed. You I I will hope you will want to be healed. No one wants to walk around depressed all the time. No, no, put a smile on your face. Why don't you start by standing in the mirror and put a smile on your face? Just smile. When I was younger, um people used to say, Liz, you'll never smile. You don't and so you know what I had to do? I had to do an approach, I had to get in the mirror and actually smile. And it may have hurt a little bit because I didn't want to, but I I made myself smile. Made myself smile. Now I don't have a problem. I'll smile and laugh as often as I can. I thank God for because God gave us joy. He wants us. What what father, what parent does not want his child laughing and smiling. I uh somebody showed me a child some years ago, and they said the child didn't smile. That messed me up. And I went to the child and I was trying to pray. I don't know, and the child's probably a teenager now. I don't I don't know, but something's wrong. Something's wrong, especially that young when when you're a baby and you're not smiling, something's wrong. Uh when you don't smile, you don't laugh. No, no, that's not the will of God for your life. No, no, not at all. So you ask God to help you with that, to balance. We want our emotions balanced. Balanced. We don't want to be crying all the time. Every time you turn around, you crying. You see something on the news, you crying. Somebody tell you something, you crying, and you can't even talk without crying. That's a bit much to me. That's that's a bit much. Why are you crying so much? Why are you crying so much? So check into the well, I mean, I don't know you, right? Yeah, I don't know you. God made you, and God knows why you do what you do. But obviously, there's a problem. Because he brought it up. Is it well with your mind? Is it well with your will? Is it well with your emotions? Something's not well with your emotions. Because God has us talking about that on today. So ask God, okay, God, what's what's not right with my emotions? Show me what it is, show me how to get through it. I don't want to sweep it under the rug. No, I don't want to just go and put a smile on my face and get my hair done and say, uh, no, God, get to the root of it. Because I want to get rid of this thing. I want to get rid of this thing. Whatever's wrong in my emotions, whatever it is. Whatever it is. Maybe, maybe you, maybe it's anger. Maybe you just blow up and you know, I don't know if you're maybe whoever you're around, you start throwing things. You get angry, you throw stuff, you kick stuff, you kick the dog and throw the cat out the window. You just, you just get angry. Just something's wrong with you. And if you're not careful, you're gonna end up in an insane, uh, insane asylum. You're doing all that, they're gonna put you in a straitjacket. So you need to get down to the roof. And and and I mean, get some balance. Sometimes, you know, it could be some medication that you're on that can alter your emotions really can't. If I some years ago, they had this medication that was like, may cause gambling. Now what are you what? What type of medicine can cause you to want to gamble? Like, come on, really? Come on. No, no, uh uh. So you have to be careful with these medications that that that keep coming out and keep coming out and keep coming out. No. Ask the Lord to help you. And some of you might need therapy. And there's nothing wrong with therapy. It's not just praying go to the right one. That because uh I used to say uh during the pandemic, they were talking about, you know, you need therapy, this one needs therapy, that one needs therapy. I said, well, who the therapist going to? Because if everybody's affected by COVID, I mean not having COVID, but we're affected by the shut ins and all that, then if we go to a therapist, then who's the therapist? Going to because they obviously gonna need it too. So you pray. If you ever go to a therapist, pray and say, God, show me the therapist to go to because you don't want to waste your time. You want to go to the right one, and then you want to open up and allow them to help you and allow the Holy Spirit to help you as well because He knows everything about you. He knows your past. He knows your present. He knows your future. And He knows how to bring out of you what needs to be brought out. He knows how to fix every problem in your life. So at this time, we're going to take a break for station identification, and we'll be right back.
SPEAKER_00This is the Wash Here Radio Hour, the local voice of the blind, low vision, and print disabled. We are heard here every day at 5 o'clock p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. And back to Hope Ministries on the Wash here Radio Hour with Minister Elizabeth Norman and Minister Greg Martin.
SPEAKER_01Okay, we are back. So let's review what we've done. We've talked about the mind. God wants to know, is it well with your mind? Now, based on what we talked about, is it well with your mind? Are you thinking right? Are you are your thoughts clean? Are they pure? Are they lovely? Are you what are you what have you been thinking about? What have you been thinking about? If it's not pleasing with God, then ask him to cleanse your mind. Cleanse your mind. Say, God, give me a clean mind and a pure heart. A clean mind and pu and pure heart, Father. Clean my mind, God, please. That's what you need to ask him. You need to ask him for yourself, God, please. Help me to think the right thoughts. That's gonna make you feel better. Because if you if you if you think toxic thoughts, then you are really intoxicating your body by having toxic thoughts because your mind affects your body. So you want to think pure thoughts. You want to get fresh air. You really do need fresh air for a whole lot of things. But you ever people heard people say, I'm gonna go for a walk to clear my mind. Well, there is some truth to that. Getting fresh air, getting some sunlight, get uh some walking in, or so forth. That helps your mind. That really does help your mind. So do what it takes. We talked about the will, Reverend.
SPEAKER_03We want to remember, participate with each other or within yourself. The inner man is involved in this participation. Second um Corinthians 4, 16 talks about being strengthened with might in our inner man. Let's do it right. It's right is in us because the Bible says we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. So we're here to encourage you to communicate right with each other. We're leading you to the Lord in this area. And uh, Minister Liz is going to share about emotions and then we're going to talk about getting saved. Amen. Turning our lives over to Jesus.
SPEAKER_01Okay, is it well with your mind? Is it well with your will? Are you doing those things that God wants you to do? Or are you just doing your own thing? It's time out for doing your own thing. God put us here for reasons, and He wants us to be doing those things that He's pleased with. Nothing else is gonna matter. You can try to please Tommy, you can try to please Henrietta. Nothing's gonna matter if we're not pleasing God. So make sure your will is in alignment with what God wants you to do. And then emotions. Make sure your emotions are stable, your emotions are balanced, you're happy, and and and only God can give you true happiness. True happiness can't come from money, it can't come from uh people, it can't come from things. True happiness can only come from God, can only come from God. Joy, peace can only come from God. Those things you want your emotions balanced, you don't want people to say, oh, here she comes, oh he come. No, no, no. You want people to to welcome your presence because you're a lively person. I'm not saying change your personality if you're quiet, if you're an introvert, if that you know, that's fine with you. But I'm just saying don't be a sad introvert, don't be an angry or depressed introvert. No, no, no. You can smile, you can say hello, stop with those things. Smile, say hello, watch, um go outside look at some flowers or something, or watch kids playing. That's one, or listen to kids playing. Sometimes I'll pass uh schools and I'll hear kids on the playground. And what's amazing to me is no matter where you are, kids will start screaming on the playground. And they're not screaming because they're hurt, they're screaming because they're happy. They're screaming. Oh my, I just cannot believe that they are just really literally screaming on the playground because they're having fun and they're playing. Pay attention to it. You you'll you'll know when you uh on a uh passing the playground because you're gonna hear those kids screaming. Pay attention, watch and see. But they're happy, they're expressing their emotions, they're happy, they're happy to be out in the classroom, they're happy to be away from their teacher for a couple of minutes and then like, hey, we get some fresh air, we get some sunshine if it's sunshine, and we get to play. They're expressing their emotions, and I'm sure God smiles on that because that's what he wants for us, the adults. Like, we should smile. We don't have to go around screaming, but we certainly can express the fact that we're happy, we can put a smile on our face, and um, we can certainly laugh and laugh at at the right things, because uh we can't laugh at anything, but we certainly can um be joyful, be joyful. Um, whether people around, you know, you can be have a joyful attitude, then people don't have to be around. You you can just be joyful, just you and Jesus, like hey, I got Jesus. Um someone said that that joy, J-O-Y, means Jesus over you. I got joy. I got joy on the inside. So we want our emotions to be balanced. Mind, will, and emotions. Is it well with your soul? Yeah, it should be. It's get it's gonna be. Maybe if it's not now, just say, you know what, it's gonna be. It's gonna be well with my mind, it's gonna be well with my will because I'm gonna do what's right with God, and it's gonna be well with my emotions. It might take some work, but it's gonna be well. Because all of heaven is ready to help you. Otherwise, he wouldn't have given this to me. I was gonna go a totally different way. But he gave this to me, and I and we have to yield to what God said. We see God say to ask God, God, what do you want us to say? We don't just pick up any meety mighty mode. No. We pray, we turn our plate down and say, God, what do you want us to say to your people? Because it's your word and it's your people. What do you want us to say? So maybe when your this process is over with you, you can sing the song. It is well. It is well with my mind, it is well with my will, it is well with my emotions, with what emotions. So um, let's pray. Father, we thank you for this lesson. We thank you for everything that you've done for us. God, we pray, Father, that you will help us in every area of our life. And if you're not saved, I want you to preach this prayer, Father. Uh um, I'm I'm a sinner and I need to be saved. Please come into my life, save me, heal me, deliver me, set me free from everything that I need to be set free from. I've done bad things, I've said bad things, but God, I want to be saved. So please save me, sir. Please save me. Come into my life, show me, change me, do whatever you have to do. Mold me and make me into your perfect will. In Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. And amen. Reverend.
SPEAKER_03Amen. Amen. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, that's a beautiful, beautiful thing that you've just done. And ask God, what's next? What do you want me to do next? Where do you want me to go? Because this is a new beginning.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, what church do you want me to go to, God? That's important. Ask God, God, what church do you want me to go to? And you should be going to church. You should be. Ask God, God, show me. Because He has a way of matching you and your personality with that of a pastor in church that you can go and you'll grow from and you'll enjoy going. Church is so important. It's no place on earth like church. No, no place.
SPEAKER_03And for those of you that have been saved and have not been going to church, I we encourage you, as the Bible says, forsake not the assembling of yourselves. It's not the same on the computer. It's not the same. And and I'm saying this because I'm sensing that you have not been going to church. You haven't been. And God is saying come on back. Come on back to church and be with your brothers and sisters. It's always something more that you will get when you're together. Let me say that again. There's always something more when you get together with other believers. This is important. So we encourage you to go back. We would like to invite you to Hope Ministry.
